Priority Goals & Objectives
In week two, some of the areas of work we were exploring were: teaching and learning, educator preparation and development, and infrastructure for technology. They align with Olsen’s “broad areas” in relation to the infusion of the fours C’s including curiosity, collaboration, communication, and context. Additionally, looking further at the MISD graphic from this site, they have classroom teachers, which includes students' behaviors, and they also have coaches, which is the teachers’ behaviors. They also list the technology team and administration. These all align with customers (the students we all serve), people (the educators and staff, including the technology team and support staff), and the processes, which can include among other areas, the technology integration into learning. Also, processes could include the technology training/professional development that the educators and employees would be participating in.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we all in our academic institutions have had major unexpected circumstances that we all have not fully been removed from, and nor will we probably in the at least near foreseeable future, which prompts all educational institutions to rethink, change, and refine our technology areas of teaching and learning.
